The Greater Portland LEGO® Railroaders (GPLR) are not exclusively about LEGO trains...

On Thursday, January 11, 2007 GPLR delivered their 4th LEGO diorama installment at the Washington Square LEGO Store (Tigard, Oregon) “Window Into The Community” display.

The diorama is a Rocket Garden and celebrates LEGO Space Exploration, or as some of us call it “Space Bricksploration”. This is a Minifig/Town related theme LEGO has periodically marketed since 1990, with the advent of set 1682 Space Shuttle.

Jeremy Rear and Kim Toll take the theme to a highly designed and engineered level to build MOCs (My Own Creatons) with unique and unconventional details.

Please take a moment to preview our creations. If you get a chance, stop by the Washington Square LEGO Store and carefully look at the details.

In addition, these MOCs and thousands of others will also be featured at BrickFest™ PDX 2007, March 30 - April 1, 2007. Be sure to register and join the fun with the international LEGO community!

Very impressive, I’ve never had any of the Lego rockets, but this looks bigger and better while still reminding me of a younger self staring at the magazine’s launch pad diorama.

God Bless,

Nathan

I just wanted to say I’ve always been impressed that you guys do this display on a regular basis and always come up with cool dioramas even though the themes change each time. Awesome!

You guys are really lucky to have a consistent display space which you can update and do variations on a theme.
