I've now signed up the OBB CSL for the '80's Toy Expo on April 7th, 2019
<https://www.ontariocollectorscon.com/80s-toy-expo-2019-is-april-7th-in-mississauga-ontario/>
It's at the same hotel convention room as the last show--
6750 Mississauga Road, Mississauga, Ontario
I've also requested an additional 'display table' so others can display their
stuff. I've had a few people voice interest in bringing something for display.
I don't know how well this'll go over, but I'm going to try it and see what
happens :)
I'm also hoping that I'll have at least a bit of time to take some good pictures
and video of the layout this time--I didn't have any time last show for this.
Hope to see you there!

For this to happen your proposal must be accepted prior to registering, so send

BrickFair VA will be holding four separate contests for LEGO MINDSTORMS
enthusiasts this year. The long-running favorites Stock Sumo and Unlimited Sumo
will be held as usual, and the Capture the Flag contest is returning from last
year. There will also be a new contest for this year: the Pole Vault.
Pole Vault is a event that tests your robot's gymnastic ability. Contestants
must travel to a one foot high wall in the center of the table, jump or climb
over it, and reach the other side safely. This contest is recommended for KFOLs
and TFOLs, although FOLs of all ages are welcome to compete.
In Capture the Flag, two robots will face off from opposite sides of the table,
and the winner will be the first robot that can locate the flag, grab it, and
find its way back to home base. The flag is represented by an infrared
HiTechnic ball, and as an added complication, it starts out on a flag carrier
robot that is wandering randomly around the arena. This contest is recommended
for AFOLs, although FOLs of all ages are welcome to compete.
The official contest rules can be found at the following links:

Capture the Flag: http://www.brickfair.com/game/pop/Capture.pdf
Stock & Unlimited Sumo: http://www.brickfair.com/game/pop/SumoRules.pdf
BrickFair VA will be coming to the Dulles Expo Center in Chantilly, VA from July
30 to August 3, 2014. Public hours are on August 2nd and 3rd from 11:00 AM to
4:00 PM.

Good afternoon everyone,
If you have not heard, Brickworld 2013 will be held at a new home - The
Renaissance Hotel & Convention Center in Shaumburg, IL. This move is in
response to the attendees desire to hold the event in a single room. We will be
starting this year with a 50,000 square foot room for the fun.
This will be an entirely new and fun experience for all the attendees.
You can learn more at Brickworlds web site.
Also, Geek Nation Tours will be hosting a special tour to the event if they
generate enough interest. Stay tuned as they will post additional information.
As always, we look forward to seeing everyone at the event in June.
Warm Regards,
Adam, Bryan and the entire Brickworld Team

The BrickCon 2012 Presentation/Session/Activity schedule is being
finalized this weekend before the program goes to press, so if you'd like
to give a talk/moderate a roundtable/run an activity I need a title,
description, and requirements by September 15, this Saturday.
Also due this Saturday are Audio/Visual stuff associated with a
presentation (such as PowerPoint presentations, videos, or projected
images) which need to go to Nicole, our AV master. Contact me for her
e-mail.
Relatedly, the Virtual LEGO Room Tour, hosted by Carlyle Livingston, will
be returning to BrickCon this year.
http://news.lugnet.com/events/nwbrickcon/?n=419
Basically, this will be a roundtable where people bring pictures of their
Lego storage/build/sorting areas and do a show and tell. Since
those are projected images they will also need to be taken and sent to
Nicole by the end of Saturday.
BrickCon is an annual adult Lego fan convention and exhibition in Seattle
since 2002. BrickCon 2012 will be October 4, 5, 6, and 7 at the Seattle
Center Exhibition Hall and Northwest Rooms

Each year were overwhelmed by the excitement Comic-Con fans show toward the
LEGO brand and the new playsets we introduce based on their favorite characters
and storylines, said Michael McNally, brand relations director, LEGO Systems,
Inc. As we celebrate our 80th anniversary this year, were pulling out all the
stops in San Diego to show fans how the classic LEGO brick continues to build
popularity among children and adults of all ages with a rotation of themes and

LEGO The Lord of the Rings and LEGO The Hobbit- Thursday, July 12
Epic characters and scenes take LEGO form in the newly released LEGO THE LORD OF
THE RINGSTM collection, based on the popular THE LORD OF THE RINGS trilogy.
Additionally, to coincide with the release of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey
