  Re: Naming Technic Liftarms

(...) Two alternate thoughts (which I'm pretty sure have been mentioned before): 1. Stick with 'liftarm' for the half-width parts, and 'beam' for full-width parts. 2. Use 'liftarm' for parts with crossaxle holes, and 'beam' for parts with only (...) (20 years ago, 5-Apr-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, lugnet.db.brictionary)

  Re: Naming Technic Liftarms

(...) Well the only problem that I have with that is that I don't think "beam" describes the short ones (1x2, 1x3) as well as "liftarm", (which I agree also isn't the perfect name). They are all basically the same shape, which is what I think led to (...) (20 years ago, 28-Mar-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, lugnet.db.brictionary)

  Re: Naming Technic Liftarms

(...) Yes, except that there is still nomeclature confusion elsewhere, some systems use Technic Bricks for the bricks with holes and some systems us Technic Beams, I believe. So I think the rounded designation is helpful. (...) except that the 1x2 (...) (20 years ago, 28-Mar-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, lugnet.db.brictionary)

  Re: Naming Technic Liftarms

(...) I'm not sure that rounded is needed. Brick vs. Beam is very clear. Besides for bricks the count is the number of studs (always even except for 1). For Beams it is the number of holes (typically an odd number, except in the case of 1x2.) Kevin (...) (20 years ago, 28-Mar-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, lugnet.db.brictionary)

  Re: Naming Technic Liftarms

Personally, I think the naming should be like this: For parts with axle holes, use the Liftarm designation e.g. Technic Liftarm 1 x 11.5 Double Bent for part 32009 and Technic Liftarm 1 x 3 Thin with Click Rotation Hinge Half Socket for part 41679 (...)   Naming Technic Liftarms

Not sure if this has been brought up before, but the naming of the technic liftarms leaves something to be desired. It seems mostly the thin ones have just the dimensions, thick ones have "straight" appended. Except for the 4L liftarms. Bricklink (...)   Re: part ID

Checking bricklinks collection of technic stickersheet pictures, I now know that its from the 8229. Regardless of where its from, its certainly a very nifty part :) In fact, many technic sets have nifty stickers :) (20 years ago, 23-Mar-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.technic, lugnet.db.brictionary)

(URL) anyone know what the stickered part in this picture just in front of the minifig is? I like it and think its nifty but I really want to know where its from.   Re: Clikit file naming

(...) Thanks for your comments - the names are just working titles for the present. I was really looking for opinions on whether the connector should be called a stud (as you do) and should have the inbuilt LDraw support for studs. I'm not sure the (...) The current name of clikit1 is particularly unfortunate because Clikits parts include at least one (small) human-sized ring. An (...)   please identify a tire?

I was wondering whether someone could identify this tire/tyre. A BrickLink or Peeron code would be appreciated, or the number of a set with this tire. I've looked through the BrickLink database with no luck, which I assume is about the same as the (...) (20 years ago, 29-Feb-04, to lugnet.db.brictionary)
