| | | | | Hello!
This is my first posting to this group and all in all my second posting
on lugnet ever -
I've got a question concerning the crest of the Turkey Knights (as they
are often called on http://www.1000steine.de :-)
http://chutspe.bei.t-online.de/adler.jpg
I wonder if there is any special reason for the different direction of
the falcons on the crest. Are the left-lookers attached to determined
sets?
I think the left looking version is rare.
Bye

Well, welcome! Hi!

The crest of Turkey Knights!! ROFL! Sure seems like that sometimes. ;-)
I do wish I knew German a lot more fluently (I've only got a few words down)
so I could participate in the discussions there.

Wow, nifty! I've never seen those before. Extremely cool. I have no clue why
they are that way, though...

I fell to the temptation and pulled mine out and went through them! After
checking 70 some Black Falcon's, I was disappointed to find only 1 of them
was facing left. The worst part was, it was one of the few I have that
doesn't have a crisp printed image on the torso :-( So, others with major
Falcon armies, check 'em out and let us know what you find...

Just to add another data point. . .
Last night, while incorporating the new castle accessories I got, I found 2
out of 75 that faced the wrong way.

Left as I look at them, or left as they look at me?
Bruce
(someone just *had* to ask that, didn't they?)

No, no, no. "Left" as in "sinistra," or evil Turkey
Knights from the Mirror Universe. If your minifig
crests are actually looking at you, that *would* be
evil.

Someone's going to go on a crusade and try to amass
an army of Wrongway Turkey Knights. Just watch! :)
I only have four BF shields and they all bow to the
orthodox right (wait, that's redundant).

But I didn't see a beard on the left facing fig in that picture, so how could
he be from the Mirror Universe? ;D

Does that mean the classic smiley's would have a Van Dyke?
Southpaws with beards are sinister? Hmmmmmmm.....
Bruce
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | I wonder if this was done on purpose or it was an accident (IE the screen
printing screen was put in backwards.) it might not be as obvious with the
black falcons but they caught the screwups in the crusaders. I'm going to
check my Black Falcons to see if any of mine are special.

I'm not sure about that. You know, those are the only Star
Treks I've never seen--in any of the various series--? I
don't know why it's just those ones.
Just be thankful they didn't print the face upside down on
the head...

I'm halfway there. (And no, I can't even grow a proper beard.)

| Oh Well all 25 of my black falcons are looking in the same direction (I've
got 5 more coming in the mail). it looks like the insigna is a solid black
shield with the silver pattren over it. if the masking for the screen to do
the silver silver were reversed (easy to do espically at the size) the
opposite facing falcon would result. I'm guessing that they are very rare
and not done on purpose.

I keep forgetting to check my figures. However, I do have this question -
how many of you have a Black Falcon figure without the silver printing at
all? No, I don't mean almost entirely worn away, I mean it was never
printed at all. I have one like that.
