LEGO Media Announces New Build-and-Play CD-ROM Game, LEGO Creator System:
Knights' Kingdom

Follow-up title to the popular LEGO CreatorTM CD-ROM builds on all-new
LEGO Castle play range

American International Toy Fair, New York - Technology is headed back to
the medieval ages! LEGO Media International, Inc. announces LEGO Creator
System: Knights' Kingdom CD-ROM, the second title in a series that began
in 1998 with the best-selling, award-winning LEGO Creator CD-ROM. Slated
for release this Fall, LEGO Creator System: Knights' Kingdom will bring
virtual construction and play fantasy to the medieval world of King Leo's
court, based on the newest LEGO® Castle play range for 2000.

Set deep in the woods of the Dark Forrest, LEGO Creator System: Knights'
Kingdom follows the story of King Leo's royal family who lives in the
castle and who are protected by Richard the Strong and his knights. In the
thick, heavy fog of the forest lives the robber gang, led by Cedric the
Bull, which poses a constant threat to the castle inhabitants. As the
village has recently been very prosperous, King Leo is holding a
celebration. Cedric the Bull, however, plans to use the distraction of the
festivities to storm the castle and overthrow the king and his men. It
will be up to players to guide the kingdom to safety using the integrated
build-and-play construction resources at hand.

"LEGO Creator historically has been one of our most popular titles to
date," says Gregg Sauter, Director of Sales and Marketing for LEGO Media.
"It makes perfect sense to combine what people love about that title with
the Castle play theme-one of LEGO's most popular play ranges."

LEGO Creator System: Knights' Kingdom will feature three levels of game
play-beginner, intermediate and advanced-each with its own relative user
interface. The level structure allows for the introduction of basic
building and navigational functions on a progressive basis, with the
beginner level focusing much more on modular building than on
brick-by-brick construction. As players become more skilled at building
and navigating, they will be able to move on to higher levels where
construction becomes more detailed. The complete free-form style of LEGO
Creator CD-ROM, where players have access to all game content and
functionality when building, will be represented only in the most advanced
level of Knights' Kingdom.

Players will find a helper character, Richard the Strong, who issues
challenge objectives for each level and activity and will help players
achieve the objectives if necessary. As players move into the more
advanced levels, evil Cedric the Bull also will issue difficult game play
challenges. As players achieve the set objectives and challenges, reward
animations will appear and unlock access to additional LEGO elements for
use in the game, integrally linking game play to the story line.

The virtual bricks found in LEGO Creator System: Knights' Kingdom are
identical to those found in its tactile LEGO play range counterpart, as
well as some key elements from the classic LEGO Town theme. Players will
be able to select various weather effects that interact with the
challenges issued by helper characters to affect game play progress. Each
LEGO element or model will have a special animation or sound effect to
enhance the virtual build-and-play experience and players will be able to
print interactive building instructions for virtual models to use with
their tactile LEGO play sets.
