Actually the render is pretty much entirely thanks to this thread
(http://news.lugnet.com/cad/ray/?n=1398&t=i&v=a) and this post in particular
(http://news.lugnet.com/cad/ray/?n=1482), although I did have to play around
with the settings to get something I liked, so I guess Anders Isaksson
deserves some credit also. I've noticed quite a few people using area
lighting and focal length in renders since, and I'm always impressed by the
results, even if it does take ages to compute. I recommend everyone try it.
I've experimented with combining it with a single point source as well and I
like the results (http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=273883).
Can't wait to try it on a more spacey model.
