Here is my first stab at modeling a part for LDraw. It is the 4x4x2 cylindrical
propellor housing from 8250/Pneumatic Sub, and is also used as an engine
"intake" on the new Ultimate X-Wing. I've submitted it to LDraw for
consideration.
Lots of intersecting "curves". I wasn't able to use many primitives - just a few
rings and the upper edges of the axleholes (the holes intersect the inside of a
cylinder, and so are not of constant depth. The axleholes are about the only
"standard" thing about this piece.
