[part] Updated S\973S01.DAT —Jeremy H. Sproat
Just a sneaky quickie: I changed the color on line 150 to silence L3Lab's alarms. Cheers, - jsproat 0 ~Subpart Minifig Torso without Front or Back 0 Name: 973s01.dat 0 Author: Steve Bliss, Jeremy Sproat 0 used for plain & decorated torsos 0 put (...)         Re: [part] Updated S\973S01.DAT —Jeremy H. Sproat
(...) Ya know, it seems awfully crass for me to put my name in there, seeing that Steve has done the vast, vast bulk of the work and I basically just fixed a typo. I'd be inclined just to strike my name from that list -- what do y'all think? Cheers, (...) (24 years ago, 17-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

   (...) Since you included the update-comment: (...) I'd be inclined to not change the author line. Earlier version: (...) Jeremy's change: (...) If you're going to remove the neck-mark, you might just as well do: 1 16 0 -4 0 6 0 0 0 -8 0 0 0 6 (...) (24 years ago, 17-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: [part] Updated S\973S01.DAT —Jeremy H. Sproat
(...) For the sake of keeping the basic part free of marks, how about putting the neck mark in a bitmap subfile, like how the torso patterns are done? Cheers, - jsproat (24 years ago, 17-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: [part] Updated S\973S01.DAT —Steve Bliss
(...) Have you ever seen a torso with the neck-mark? ;) I'll think about it... Steve (24 years ago, 17-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: [part] Updated S\973S01.DAT —Steve Bliss
   (...) Erk. That's *without* the neck-mark. Argh. Steve (24 years ago, 18-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: [part] Updated S\973S01.DAT —Jeremy H. Sproat
(...) :-, Yah, on some extremely well-used torso pieces. ;-) I was just thinking along the lines that, very few "core" LDraw parts have patterns -- the typical action is to make an unmarked part first, then refer to that unmarked part in a different (...)         Re: [part] Updated S\973S01.DAT —Steve Bliss
(...) Good points. So the neck-marked torso would be the first among many patterned torso parts. Sort of like the plain minifig head vs. the smiley-face minifig head. (checking Partsref) Drat! 973p01 is already taken! That would have been the (...) (24 years ago, 21-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: [part] Updated S\973S01.DAT —Jeremy H. Sproat
(...) How about 973p00 ? (...) But it'd really be a one-line change, with an easily recognizable failure condition (i.e. the neck mark doesn't show up), so not many worries there. Cheers, - jsproat (24 years ago, 21-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: [part] Updated S\973S01.DAT —Steve Bliss
(...) Hmm. A bit unorthodox, but it would work... (...) Yah. Just tedious. I'd rather change 37 lines in one file, than one line in 37 files. Steve (24 years ago, 22-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: [part] Updated S\973S01.DAT —Chris Dee
(...) My personal (perfectionist) preference would be to remove the mark from 973s01.dat and add it in the correct colour to each decorated torso. Since I have authored the majority of the torsos, I feel a responsibility to do this (wishing I'd (...) (24 years ago, 25-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

In lugnet.cad.dat.parts, Chris Dee wrote: [about changing the neck-mark on minifig torso part files] (...) Right. Since 973.dat would be the only file without a neckmark, it makes sense to keep the 3/4 neck in s\973s01.dat, and have each torso file (...) (24 years ago, 25-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

(...) I would think that the most likely candidate for this would be the very set you referenced (<set: 6040 Blacksmith's Shop>), a set which I regret to say that I do not have. But, I do have a Blacksmith, from a recent trade, and after examining (...) (24 years ago, 23-Dec-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)
