In order to make Datsville's Gas Station brand neutral, I have prepared to
change its colours. If you download g.zip from the link below and unzip it into a
new folder, you will be able to replace three colours just to feel the taste of
it. The colours are red, yellow and white and they can be replaced at will in
the main file, g.ldr.

Btw, has anyone heard any news about which buyer has made the best offer yet? Is
it true thar DatOil and JJ Oil co are interested in a purchase, or any other
company?

Any progress on this? I am trying to remove branded/TLG models from Datsville as
well.

Datsville needs some more trees. It has some already but they are very basic. A
greater variety would be good. Anyone want to model some?

I really second that request. Steve Bliss's tree is truly brilliant, but now
there are too many of them exactly alike.

I've uploaded a seventh revision.

http://code.google.com/p/datsville/

I decided that some of the buildings I made were simply to large, so I made
smaller versions. There's also a new tree model and a radio tower (which needs
to get moved to somewhere better).

I'm no longer able to render the whole town at once in POV-Ray as I have too
little RAM in my computer. I need to come up with an alternate method of
creating town maps. :( Too bad LDView doesn't support orthographic projection;
otherwise I would start using *it* instead.

I have started uploading everything to the Google Code account. I don't have a
SVN system set up at the moment since my main computer is not connected to the
Internet.

Here's a newer town map:

And some screenshots in LDView:

Notice that in the last image I am experimenting with height field terrain with
some success.
