| | | | | Well, just for look see.
Thought i'd post a link to a sculpture I completed not too long ago.
Japanese Kohaku Koi with the Sandan pattern
http://brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=65489
MOC is roughly 3 1/2 ft in length. It has probably the right body mass size for
a real koi of mature age, of 25-35 years at a full length close to 36+ inches.
The top is covered completely by 1x1 round plates in either white, oramge trans
orange, or clear. The majority being clear.
It is hollow, and the idea, was that it would be part of a display much like
something modeled at any LL theme park.
comments welcome...
Regards!

my pants now. The use of dirty clear and trans-orange parts for scales is too
cool.
I always look at sculptures like this with a certain awe, hopefully soon I'll
have one of my own to contribute...

Nice Job! It looks really great. I like the luminacity the clear bricks give
it. It almost looks wet!
You might think about giving it a name! I'm gonng suggest you name it "Mack"!
Then you can tell people that they are looking at the real "Mack Koi"! hehhehheh
(Sorry, I couldn't resist!)
be kind...

are great too!
Any future plans to do the sides as well? I'd love to see some close-ups of
the tail too.

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | That is a very handsome sculpture, Todd. Ingenious, good proportions and very
well executed. It looks beatifull, it must be even better in rael life I
suppose.
If I'm not mistaken, the Koi is a symbol for health and long life, therefore I
believe it's very appropriate, so close before the new year begins.
With friendly greetings, M. Moolhuysen.
