Oops...that's not quite true.  It's actually 2.8 x 2.8 x 3 studs:

(...) Doh! Yeah, I got a 3x3x3 that had 4 studs poking out, that was as close as I was able to get... DaveE (20 years ago, 27-Mar-04, to lugnet.build.schleim)
