Hey there fellow schleimers! You probably don’t know me, as this is my first post here. I usually hang around CS, and over the last couple of years I’ve become more and more interested in alternative building techniques. I’ve not posted them here since I’m not sure what the purpose of this group is exactly - is it to explore building in general or snot in particular? Nevertheless, I still thought it would be time to chime in with a bunch of stuff I’ve noticed. Some you may have seen before, others not. If this is the case, or you feel they have no place in this group, I’m sorry and hope that you’ll let me know. Here goes!

First, here are some things you can do with turntable tops:

Next, a little trick when you want to add some additional detailing:

And then there are some (admittedly pretty simple) stuff you can do with hoses:

I made a few comparisons with the circles that Didier wrote about in the guide he recently put together:

I made an engine doodle using the old space engines:

Brickshelf (This doodle ended up becoming this)

Most recently I had a quick bit of fun with chain links. More options should easily be able to be found:

I found out that three levers arranged like this in an axle hole make for a sturdy connection:

Brickshelf (It is what keeps the two wheel segments on this together.)

And lastly, I throw in the instructions for the engine on that machine:

Again, I’m sorry if this is not what you are looking for, as most of it isn’t about snot per se, but rather building techniques. I’ve got some more stuff like this not yet photographed, and advice on whether or not you feel I should post it here would be appreciated.

(...) Hi Linus and welcome :) (...) SNOT is pretty restrictive and I hope people feel free to post here any building technique (System or Technic) a bit unusual. That's why I like the "schleim" term as it focus (at least for me) not only on SNOT but (...) (17 years ago, 18-Feb-07, to lugnet.build.schleim, FTX)
