ObSchleim: We learned at BrickFest this weekend that the "headlight" brick
(a.k.a. the "washing machine brick" or the "1x1 brick w/ recessed side stud") is
called the Erling brick internally at LEGO...named after the employee who
invented it. Veilleicht denn man sagen kann, dass Herr Erling war der erste
Schleimer und war Vater auf dem Schleimersteinen, dass wir heuten tagen glauben
und lieben.

Many many thanks to Todd for setting up this new incredible newsgroup! We had
such a great time here in Portland. We all enjoyed every single second.
Rather then typing in millions of words describing what happend, I only will say
two things:

I have just five words for you.
Schleim you, you schleiming schleim!
It was great to meet you, Axel, and Rene, and to see Ben again. Your
(collective) presence added a lot of depth to the convention. Learning more
about 1000schleim.de (that’s what the site is called, right?) was great. Still
unsure if I can come to Berlin in July, but it would be great to work that out.
I can’t wait till the next time we have the opportunity to fest together.
In general, I have to say I love the international component of fests. Talking
to people who are involved with LEGO in other countries is very exciting to me.
LEGOWORLD 02 and now BFPDX04 both have special places in my heart for that very
reason.

While I don’t know Derek’s mother-- apparently everyone else does!-- I do
