Submitted for your approval, STATION 45, where the Spyrius Nation brings its
war-machine to life. Watch the living hand of the Gear mobilize for war.
This is the follow up project to my Cathedral of the Gears (where the
Spyrius Regulars recieve the pre-battle blessing of the Gear). The project
is only slightly modified from its Brickswest debut. Here is a quick
breakdown of
the action:
www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=35318
"Moonbus" is the Hunter Killer (T1) looking ship that the gun-tractors are
driving into. It can carry either 2 gun tractors, or 12 Spyrius Regulars
"Big Daddy Mars" is the large 2-pilot mecha with the sith-infiltrator piece
"Mechbus" is the mecha drop-ship that carries 2 of the folded mini-mechs
"Mini Mech" is a small one-pilot mecha (total of 3 in the project)
"Gun Tractors" were based on a design by non-posting Capt. Mike Rutherford
"Warbots" are the minfig-sized infantry-support robots, shamelessly ripped
from a Taro Kuma design.
* aslo present is Snake Plissken. The man sent him in.
* thanks to Eric, Jeff, and Bryce for the encouragement to post the
sometimes blurry photos
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! (but I don't think it gets any
better than "Holy Shiznaat!"
If you are interested, here is the link to the Cathedral

Cheers!
-Keith

| Yes! Finally the great Keith Goldman posts something on build.mecha!! Woo woo! Great shots of all of your stuff! Although I have a dumb question though, you really captured the realism in this shot: (URL) many bricks did that take to make that (...) (22 years ago, 27-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)

| The Mechbus Dropship is just too darn nifty. The quarter dishes on the back and the high wings make it look very insectoid. It's a great design. The monochrome grey gives the whole scene a very militaristic look, which has its place. Very cool (...) (22 years ago, 27-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)

| (...) The Grand Admiral approves. I really like the functional look you have achieved. Nothing is pretty, it's all gray and tough-as-nails looking. I also appreciate the large downward-pointing thrusters on the flying craft. It gives them some (...) (22 years ago, 27-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)

| Sweet Geeeezus! That is FANTASTIC! I don't know where to begin! First of all the Gear Cathedral is a powerful idea...mixing a gothic setting with heavy machinery - what a concept - love it! Station 45 is so incredibly raw-realistic, you've really (...) (22 years ago, 28-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)

| Hey Keith, I usually don't post to MOCs like these.. because they're good.. you know it, and I'm not sure if I have anything really useful to say. But this creation did something to me. It really evoked the feel of military. Looking at the pictures, (...) (22 years ago, 28-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)

| Awsome, just awsome. I saw this in somebody's pictures from Brickswest on Brickshelf and I was wondering who built it. Now I know. Great job. Jason (...) (22 years ago, 28-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)

| Now that is a nice looking MOC. I can just hear the Imperial March playing looking at that. Nothing much else to say that hasn't been already. -Mike Petrucelli (22 years ago, 28-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)

| Oh my Gosh !! That is absolutely awesome, the Mechas, the Dropship, the details, the weaponry, the dominant gray color... What a diorama ! Now if LEGO does somthing like that.. Since it's a Scifi-military futuristic line, it could go through.. After (...) (22 years ago, 28-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)

| KG! bring it on! Station 45 is a hit and you did a great job! I was glad when I stumbled onto your MOC. I thought I had a fair idea of who was gonna be at Bricks West and it was a pleasant surprise. I love Station 45 for many reasons. Cheif amoung (...) (22 years ago, 2-Mar-03, to lugnet.space)
