What does "LOL" mean?

I'm seein this used alot now, what does it mean?
This isn't much of a subject to start a post on but it is staring to bug me,
sorta like when the barber is cutting your hair and you have an itch on your
nose that you can't sctratch.
Or when your sitting trying to build and there's a bug on the window buzzing
and when you go to smack it it flies away so you go sit down and it starts
buzzing again and you go up to the window to smack it again and it flies
off. It's espeically anoying if you have to go to the bathroom at the same
time and your trying to smack a bug and then your mom calls you to dinner,
and then your little brother pushes your Moc that were working on off the
table and then if your brother stubs his toe on the remains of your creation
starts crying and then goes to tell your mom and you end up getting in
trouble, and the bug is still buzzing at the window and you still have to go
to the bathroom. And your brother is screaming in the background while you
find half of 2x10 plate that he steeped on and broke in half. Then you find
out that your having brocoli mush soup for dinner and the bug is still
buzzing at the window, your brother is still screaming, you still have to go
to the bathroom.
Woah, crazy, this has never happened to me before But if it did, Yikes!
Then you slip on the hardwood and smack your head on the way to the table
and you hit your head on the spoon in the soup causing the soup to catapult
through the air onto your head, while the bug is still buzzing at the
window, your brother is still screaming and you still have to go to the
bathroom. Nevermind that your head hurts, you have brocoli in your eyes and
up your nose and your grounded for two weeks from Lego because you hurt your
brother even though you didn't do it and so when you blame it on the fly
that's still buzzing on the window, your mom get's mad and grounds you for
three weeks and takes away your computer privilages for a month so you can't
post your distress to Lugnet in a time of complete and utter agony. You
still have to go to the bathroom ,the fly is stil buzzing at the window,
your brother is still screaming your head still hurts and the brocoli has
gone up your nasal canals. Ouch!
So, what was this all about? carried away here a bit, had fun doing it so
who cares. right? i'll put it in .fun too for the heck of it.

| I not ashamed to say that I Only just figured out what it means last week. It means Laugh out Loud. rather than just typing hahahahahaha!!!!!you can just put LOL! BTW mind if I read your post at the local poetry reading? Eric LOL! (...) (23 years ago, 22-Jun-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)
