Help with waist design

I'm working on a new mecha design which is coming along fairly well.  Anyways, I
have become frustrated with the 4x4 turntable part that I am using as the
waist.  Does anyone know how to tighten this part or have a different idea for a
waist?

I have had good luck with a very 'low tech' solution to the 4x4 turntable: I just looped a rubber band (from an old Technic set!) around the 'base' piece, so that the 'top' piece sat over it in two spots. (...) I (...) a (...) The 4x4 turntable has one very cool feature... it has a hole running through the center that is the same size as a technic hole. One thing I have done is to use a series of small technic pieces to lock one end of a small (...) (25 years ago, 14-Mar-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)
