Inspired by a lot of the great mechs you guys have done I actually decided to
disassemble some of my display models and see if I could build something equally
as cool.

I spent probably 25 hours fooling around with this thing before I was happy with
it. I redid the hip design a couple times and toiled with the arms and horn
idea for a while too.
Its very articulated as well. The angle and knee rotate freely and can be
locked into 2 positions with some pins. The hips rotate back and forth to
balance the mech as well as up and down to stand or squat.
The wrists rotate 360 deg. and the fingers and thumbs are posable with some
minor disassemly.
The elbow is a ball joint which has nearly a full 6 DOF.
The shoulders rotate up and down and back and forth like the hips.
And of course the torso spins 360 degrees.
The cockpit houses 2 minifigs in a standing position.
Before I disassemble this one Ill be make a set of assembly instructions. What
do you think?

| Hey Ken, Nice work for you first attempt at a mech, I really like the level of articulation you have achieved. I take it the leg has the "scissor action" to it as it bends, which makes for a highly posable, and well balanced frame. What sets did you (...) (19 years ago, 5-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

| Hi Ken, thanks for sharing! I got to agree with Jas, for a first mech, this isn't bad. I'm looking at the supports in the legs and it looks like if you pivot something around that is what makes the legs change position. Am I right? I like how the (...) | Hi Ken. I am really diggin the collapsible leg design. Very clever. I think it would be possible for you to rework the hands so you could have possible fingers. You could use the click hinge design or something similar to Adam Silicott's mechs. F (19 years ago, 7-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
