I actually have some WIP Pics. The whole thing is still sketchy and not filled out. Detailing and such haven’t even started. Oh well. Here goes...

I like the use of plate skinning and the color scheme.

Joint tech looks like a Bionicle/Throwbot hybrid.

I thought about attaching the rear legs like that, then wondered how it would affect walking. But that setup may help it, like a grasshopper, and the image leaves open the possibility. The rear legs in the prototype image also aren’t identical to the fronts.

Let me be the first to say “nice codpiece”.

Now I have to worry about whether this WIP is real or bogus or somewhere inbetween...

I don’t have time for a bogus entry silly!

Here’s a picture of where I’m at...sorta...turning out weird. Oh well. I’ll just make sure I finish.

No use waiting for the moderated folder. I only took one picture quickly :-p

Hey, that’s looking really interesting! I like the knees, and the fact that it has a very industrial look to it...

Can’t wait to see the finished product!

Later,

Chris

Third update:

I switched themes from a construction type mecha to a military one simply because I’m running out of time and think a crane is harder to build than a big gun. Also I couldn’t figure out a good use for the “missle pods”.

So here’s the latest:

How about a deep woods logging mecha. Giant chainsaw for one arm, and a detention cell for the other (to cage captured environmentalists, bears, etc.), that or a missile launcher to shoot down owls, can’t let any escape. :-)
