Using a rubber band is a really good idea, which I may have to borrow from you, Jeff. There is some slackness in the string, and it needs to be pulled back against the curve of the face every so often. I’m confident I can ‘train’ the string eventually, but there’s a constant danger of it looping out.

Does using a 1x1 round plate make the head too tall or interfere with other bricks or movement

Using the standard trans 1x1 round plate ‘eye’ looked silly on this one, unfortunately...made the robot look like Jay Leno.

or did you just want to try something different?

Some of my friends have pointed out that I’ve been using the exact same head designs on all my recent robots. And they’re right, damn them - I tend to stick with what I know will work. The trouble is, it’s really hard to get a decent looking head in such a small space. Any opportunity to evolve the much-loved original design should probably be taken.

Your cool inspiration just kicked in on me & I just thought about using a 1x1 round clear plate ‘vizor’ with a 1x1x2/3 slope ‘chin’. maybe it’s been done b4 but i just thought of it.

lol I’ve tried that...great minds think alike.

Anyways, great work & great inspiration!

Jeff

Thank you.

Pete
