A subtlety lost on many I suppose. I think even then, the transition
from The Cub to Black Bear might merit a bit of beefing up - or even
the emergence of some weapons, although I understand you dont normally
do weapons..

That would be cool. I think the fact that I had expected it, and it
wasnt, was the disappointment. It is not that Black bear is a bad
mech, not at all considering I may not be able to carry off a mech
with that much posability, but I was really actually hoping for the
ursine.

Ah - I have got into the habit of doing my designs in LDraw when I
can, and I often publish the DATs on my site. I also get the kids at
the club to do so with their creations, though not all of them have
the patience to do LDraw versions (in which case I do them).

Yup - I got that. But my fear would be along the lines of, what
happens when one of them (inevitably) falls over? How would the buyer
fix it up...

Your welcome. I do think it is better to have more creations shared,
and so what if not everybody likes them, its better that than not to
have done so at all.

I have been toying with the idea of trying to create a mech entirely
from one of the recent technic sets, in the vien of looking like the
sets headline model had transformed. However- while I was going to try
and do so with only parts from the set, it seems now very unlikely, as
there is no good way to make stiff and poseable joints with the parts
from that set - or if there are, I have not found them yet. I will
carry on trying though, but I am close to giving up and borrowing
parrts from my larger stock to do it. I do like the challenge of set
bashing, and it feels more of an acheivement to have done something
with limited parts.

Ooh - now I am interested. I have also been building a robot, but not
with Lego, however, as always, I will most definately be publishing
details on my site.
