Hello all,
Its been quite a while since Ive posted here and its been ages since I built
anything. Its good to see some of the new builds out there, some truly awsome
work!
The latest project from D-Bloc, which is nearly completed, is Gerraint. It is
my favourite Mecha creation to date (my own that is!). Somewhat inspired by
watching the new Appleseed anime (totally amazing visually!). He took about
three evenings and I am still playing around with some finishing touches and
weapons. I utilised the Titan XP joints as well as some of the Chris Snead
armature design for the hips. I dont have tonnes of bricks and thus some are a
little discoloured or perhaps not entirely appriopriate for thier placement.
There is a minifig in his chest in a compartment that opens, when I have totally
finished him I shall post some more pictures, here he is for now...
Here is a Brickshelf link (not yet public).

All constructive comments and critiques much appreciated, thanks for viewing

| (...) snip Wow! You've got some great surface textures there, with the variety of parts you used. Great color scheme, too, I like the use of the black for the feet. Very solid and imposing--looks big too. (20 years ago, 22-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

| (...) Jas, Well, it looks like the time off has not hindered your creativity. Gerraint is great! You really need to change his oil more though, he just looks mad! :) I love the face expression ... The eyes with the squared jaw gives him a really (...) (20 years ago, 22-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

| (...) (snip) (...) Hey Jas, I love this guy! The beefyness is great! The head/face has alot of character too. My favorite part of your mech is definitely the legs. Solid. My least favorite part would be the forearms. I would add a little length on (...) (20 years ago, 23-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

| Woah. Ok, studless cool factor going on there. (ok, a few studs here and there I know, but I'm calling this studless.) I like the head, plenty of personality in a compact space. It seems a trifle small but that is the Mecha style. (huge bodies, (...) (20 years ago, 24-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

| (...) <snip> Very nice, solid mecha. I like the studless look a lot. I'm going to agree with Jeff and say the forearms seem out of step with the rest of the mecha. Other than that, great mecha! More more more! Later, Chris (20 years ago, 24-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

| Just like to say a big thanks to all who have commented, critiqued and viewed my latest creation. I have taken on board alot of what has been said, and made some mods accordingly, I am pleased with the results. I am going to post a more (...) (20 years ago, 24-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
