I love Aquazone! I'm willing to bet that a lot of you do to. However, there
are very few MOCs posted. I would love to sponsor a contest, but I don't have
the publishing software or the web space. In an effort to inspire some cool
creations in the aquazone theme, I'm willing to put forth $50 in prize money
if someone is willing to put this on with me. I realize I'm asking a lot
because whoever did this would have to do the publishing. Last Halloween,
Matthew Verdier and I put on a contest in a similiar fashion that went over
very well. So how about it? Is the interest out there, and is anyone willing
to work with me on this?

BTW- this was posted to space because I think the majority of interest would
be there. After all, most of us use Aquazone elements in our space models!

I cant help with the contest but I would love to enter it.
I hope that models made in LDRAW are acceptable.

Good to see some interest developing! LDRAW is great!

I've been doing a lot of aquazone MOC's lately. You are right, in that
there aren't too many. I'm happy to do more.
I've been in a "dry" period for the last too weeks, but hopefully I'll come
up with something soon.

I've got a aquanauts cruiser that is almost finished, and I would definitely
enter that the contest. Also, can we put in more than one MOC?

Absolutely! I've also been asked about unofficial parts and such. Thats
cool... LDRAW it, paint it, whatever. This is about having fun.
Now, I feel inclined to say, I want to get more than just subs. I was
thinking of creating a few other categories like best mini-fig, best mecha,
best fish, best vehicle driven by a dolphin.... you know, spice it up a little.

Funny thing, a few weeks ago, I would have passed this on by and come back to
look when it was over, but when on vacation, I picked up the Sting Ray Stormer
for only $23. I put it together just a few days ago and then this contest
comes up. Definitely think I'll try this one.

You might want to define what leeway is allowed in the contest -- having
only one actual Aquazone set, I can't make much that's purely Aquazone, but
I could still make cool underwater MOCs by using a lot of Divers and Space
lego.

These things will come to light when the official rules go up and the contest
is announced. But, this is just an underwater themed contest. There may be
an Aquazone or Stingray category, but anything is cool.

We sure are! The website is starting to take shape right now, and rules are
the main thing right know that need to be done, I think.
