Thanks to all the incredibly inventive builders who participated in the first
(and I hope the first of many) brick build challenges in the BrickFest free
building room.

Saturday's theme was "build something Olympic"; the time limit 60 minutes; and
the raw material a very large pile of miscellaneous Lego pieces.  The outcome
seemed to be fun for all.

A reprise of this event was planned for today, but the huge number of people at
the public expo portion of the 'Fest (more than 1500, if I recall correctly)
prevented it from going forward -- my expertise is not in the area of riot
control!

If anyone who participated or saw the build challenge MOCs has feedback or
suggestions, I'd love to hear them.  I also hope to have some links to pictures
soon so that everyone else can see what fun we had. And if you're in the D.C.
area and can make it to a WAMALUG meeting, we'll continue to run regular
challenges there, too.

Craig
