Hi everybody,

Just wanted to interest you all, with the MOC I constructed (well not built
due to lack of parts). I was always impressed by the astonishing piramids of
the Mayas and wanted to built those for ages. Correct me if I'm wrong but I
don't recall seeing LEGO models of it yet. Anyway it's also my ISCC entry.
So hope you'll like it and PLMKWYT
Thanks! and enjoy

P.S. Hopfully I will oneday build those from real LEGO bricks

Hey Yaron, thanks, this is the first Ancient Americas MOC I recall in awhile.

Somehow studs look good on Mayan pyramids, maybe because I'm prepared to see
them somewhat "greebly". The few smooth slopes you use make a nice counterpoint.

The greenery on #3 (Tikal Temple II) is striking.

Taken as a group there is a lot of variety. Step pyramids get to have more
character than that plain tetrahedral sort.

What's the scale of these? Are the stair heights simplified, or are the
brick height steps right for minifig climbing? (Not that you can predict
what they'll do when your back is turned.) I notice the Temple of
Inscriptions is about right for a minifig but the stairs up top are plate
height so I could be way off.

Hi Erik, Thanks for your comments

When I designed the stairs, I had a few problems since I really needed that
the slops on the side will flow with it. The main idea was to try making it
as accurate as I could to the originals, though those piramids do contians
lots of stairs (for example El Castillo contains 91 stairs on each side and
on Tikal Piramid I think I was way off the original concerning the stairs).
Most of the stairs are 1 or 2 plate high (except of course the ones on the
Tample of Inscriptions which as you wrote were a brick height) so I could
put as many as I can and also because of the fact that the originals are
"less high" then a regular stair.
Although the minifig issue wasn't taking in concern as much as the idea to
be loyal to the originals, basiclly every minifig which is in shape can
climb it.

Thanks again
