I'm happy to hear that there will be a third annual contest.  I would have
entered this recent one, but I didn't know about it untill about 12 days
before the contest deadline and I didn't have enough time to get the parts I
need from birckshelf and put them together.  I should be ready for the third
annual contest though.

That reminds me.  Are entries using custom made/modified lego parts allowed?
I need to know since I'm rather keen on customisng lego parts in order to
achieve my dubious lego modeling goals. ;-)

This year there was a category for custom mini-figs which actively
encouraged custom parts.  I also accepted entries which had custom parts as
long as they were not in the majority.  I'd be very interested in people's
opinions on this sort of subject, so that a clear set of rules and guidlines
can be included in next year's contest.  Is there enough interest in custom
parts to make it a separate category?  let me know!
