I do the same thing to my actual $100 bills when I find myself in need of a
small piece of paper to write on.

Rare? I can find up to 447 green 1x2 tiles (3069b) for sale in one lot on
bricklink. Maybe you should head on over to the search function there, and
see what you can find - I'm sure someone has them at a bargain price. ;-)
Perhaps you were unconsciously thinking of the much rarer 1x1 tile (3070b)
in green? Of which I can see at this time a maximum quantity of 17 tiles
for sale in one lot on bricklink. ;-)

It’s really touching that your prolificness (prolificity??) as an author has
enabled the rockstar lifestyle!
I have to ask though, do you have the “no brown M&M’s in the ready room” clause
in your appearance contracts though? THAT is how one knows one really has
arrived. (or so I am told. I wouldn’t know, myself)

Well, it’s not in my contract per se, but I did have Van Halen open for me at
the last few book signings.
