Orange makes nice pumpkins, green melons.  But the black & brown ... what are
other people using them for?

I was planning on using both colors stacked up as posts for docks for my Pirate
town. (which I still haven't made. Waiting until I get a great amount of pieces,
and actually get them at my apartment. Most of my LEGO collection is at my
parents' house miles and miles away.)
Brown ones for brown docks, black ones for black docks.

That would also work well in town/train layouts if you have water. You should

The "heads" would also look good in some of the train cars as someone said as
various different goods being transported (coal? wood? coconuts???).
I use orange ones for pumpkins.
