Hi all builders, cadders, datters, mlcadders and spacers,

I challenge anyone to make Startrek spaceships to the scale of my Deep Space
9 station!
Who's in for it?

Jaco

P.S. Currently I have some ideas for an Enterprise D, a Runabout and the
Defiant.
Without much succes I might add, I am not good at microscale building... :-(

Actually I’ve been following your DS9 project with great interest (amazing rendition by the way). When I finished my Enterprise one of the projects I was considering was a DS9 to scale with it. I even got as far as prototyping one of the pilons but got sidetracked with other projects. Anyway, based on the pics I’ve seen, your versions seems pretty close in size to the one I was contemplating, so my Enterprise and Vor’cha Cruiser might possibly already be to scale with it. LDraw files for each are available on my site.

I'm not following the discusions on lugnet.space, and normaly dont build any
space related stuff in LEGO, but has always been intrested in SciFi movies
and TV-series. I have also seen a lot of pictures on Brickshelf in the space
category, but have not seen this yet :

Here is my micro Enterprice spaceship

its buildt of just 5 bricks  :)

The dish is 2.4cm in diameter. There is no partnumber on it and I'm not sure
what set it came in.

With a search on Peeron I came to this part
http://www.peeron.com/inv/parts/x271
And the only set I have of that list is "Mission to Mars" and there should
be one tan 3x3 dish in this set.

I don't have any gray dish, but that would have been nicer.
Or should the Enterprise ship be in all white? Then there is 2pcs in 7035
(http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/7035-1) and 2pcs in 10029
(http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/10029-1).
In the middle unerneath the dish I put a 1x1 plate, unerneath that you see a
1x3 plate, engine part is made of one Plate 1 x 2 with 1 Stud (#3794) and a
Plate 1 x 2 with Handles (#3839). And thats it!  :)

Great models!
I rendered a picture with them docked at the station.
Though I think they are too big a scale :-(

How about this challenge, build a NCC-1701-D MOC scaled to these:
http://www.whataslacker.com/lego/star_trek_next_generations.htm

seriously, a proper minifig scale Enterprise (any of them) would be the
ultimate :)

Good luck :-)
I have plans and some ideas for a minifig scale Runabout and did some
designing in MLCad.
But never finished. Maybe I will pick this up once my DS9 is complete.

Jaco

BTW A minifig scale DS9 would be nicer ;-)

I found these:

Very nice!
I think they match the scale of the station.

Who is StarFreak359, the author of these models?
Please contact me.
