Great work as always.
God Refuses to Save Israel: Nice group of idols. Who worships Jar-Jar? LOL on
the Israelites pulling the horses. In that same scene I like the detail of the
white railings with the red backing as a doorframe.
Massacre of the Ammonites: Nice interpretation of “threw away the foreign
gods”. :) (I think that’s a typo, btw, you say “god” but I think it should be
“gods”.) Is Gilead’s father’s beard painted? I like the modified hair, btw.
In 11:3, the backdrop light gray/dark gray mountains fit really well with the
gray patterned raised baseplate. Nice floor in 11:12. I can’t say I really
like the sculpy-beard in 11:13. In 11:13, what are the red pieces that make the
sides and armrests of the throne? In 11:32, how is that severed torso
suspended?
Jephthah: I like the windows in the building in 11:34 and 35 a lot.
Interesting altar table and nice use of the black fig in 11:39.
Ephraimites: In 12:4-5 I really like the layering of the green ground up out of
the river. Often in the past your landscape has been fairly flat.

I don’t think that is sculpy. Take
this from Travis’s
BrickShelf gallery. The two beards are identical. I don’t want to start
rumors, but I think these were prototype LEGO designs that BPS has gotten his
hands on one of them.

Now *that’s* opression. I sat around for some time thinking of another way to
show the Israelites being oppressed besides showing them working in the mines,
cutting down trees, or otherwise being whipped while doing manual labor. I
thought of putting Ammonites sitting on top of the horses, but that seemed like
a little much for some reason.

Gideon’s hair is a modified version of the Qui-Gon hair that I’ve had around for
a while and used occasionally before. Jephthah’s hair both as a youngster and
an adult, and his daughter’s hair are all modifications of the standard female
hair piece. When I orginally cut one of those pieces to get the below-the-crown
hair for Abimelech, I noticed that the upper part of the hair (the part I didn’t
use) looked sort of cool for a parted-down-the-middle cut. So I ordered a bunch
of those pieces in different colors and tried making some different hair-dos
with just some simple hobby knife cuts and an emery board to smooth out the cut
edges.

Thanks, that’s one of my favorite interior sets that I’ve done. I made the
staircase in that seen there a month or two ago. I wanted to make set of stairs
with a 1/2 stud offset between stairs, and I liked the look of the bottoms of
the plates showing on the stair’s vertical surfaces.

That I can answer. :) Behind the Ammonite soldier’s legs is a 1x1 cylinder
stuck to the baseplate, and a red lightsaber blade planted into it. The
soldier’s upper torso is dropped onto the lightsaber blade, and the blade itself
is hiding behind “blood” of the same color.

Thanks, I liked those windows. I’d seen others do similar ones, with a more
traditional cross-shape in castle or cathedral walls. The altar looks a little
strange to me--it didn’t occur to me until later that there’s should be some
wood or kindling underneath the body. Instead you see the holes in the later
that the flame pieces go into.

One part is called the Soccer Goalie Stick Holder Pivot, part: 41733b. I only
remember as it is also in the Arc170.
