I like the gangsters idea, and I think it’d be a fun Adventurer’s sub-theme,
which I’ve nicknamed Rum Runners.
The theme takes place during the Prohibition era of the United States, pitting
the Rum Runners against The Law.
I’ve started the sub-theme with a set called Midnight Moonshine.

Midnight Moonshine contains a moonshine still, two minifigs (Brickley Mulroon
and Ed), and a hefty pickup truck from smuggling the moonshine.
The main thing I was trying to get across on the truck were the nice curved
fenders vehicles of the era had. I had to sacrifice parts from my Batmobile,
but I think it worked out pretty well.
I’m hoping to build some more MOCs in this sub-theme. I think I’ll aim for a
cop car next.
