Any chance of getting the coding to display "emoticons" as graphics?

Why indeed, yes, there is! -- and it's funny you should mention it because
it's something Suz and I were just giggling about a couple days ago.  It
turns out that a half dozen or so of the most common smileys translate
nicely into minifig heads.

LOL!

And here we were shooting down the idea, when I'll bet none of us realized
minifigs would be so cool in that application.

[who expects purists may not like this]

That was mainly what has kept us from doing it in the past when it was
suggested years ago.

But! -- if it is an opt-in kind of thing with a browser cookie, then nobody
has to see them who doesn't want to.

Good plan! :) (classic smilie)

It's almost a trivial feature to add to the web interface (provided it
parses parentheticals correctly :-).

Maybe you'll see it for April Fool's Day or something...  :)  Or maybe it's
not worth doing...  :(

I think it's a cute feature, and as long as it's opt-in, won't hurt at all!

No animated ones though...
